Potty, Cider Mill,and Swimming

September is FLYING by!! Here are some updates from the last few weeks:
  • Hannah knows all the letters in the alphabet & she can count to three!
  • We went to the cider mill last week & enjoyed the goats, pumpkins, cider, and donuts. The weather was beautiful and there was only ONE bee. Hooray!
  • Hannah liked her second swim class a lot; she floated on her back, swam on her tummy, and kicked her legs a lot. In the video you'll see, her duck toy floated away into the deep end and we had to abandon it.  Poor duck & Hannah!
  • We bought Hannah her own potty. We are just having her use it every night before her bath, so we aren't officially potty training yet. The first night, she went #1 and came within 6 inches or so of #2. I'll spare you the details on that. The second night, she went #1 again!
  • She's learning bits and pieces of various songs because we listen to them in the car every time we drive. Her favorite is "Rosey" ("Ring Around the Rosey").

Who knew toilets could be so fun??

Mmmmm....donuts.....

She found her winter hat from last year & would NOT remove it!

Back to School & First Swim Lesson

We are officially done with one week of school!  This was a really hard week for me; learning on the job is always stressful, and I was definitely in demand this week as teachers needed their technology needs met right away.  Hopefully, it will get easier as the month goes on.  Jay and Hannah seemed to fall back into the routine fairly well.  Hannah was really tired every day from playing with Samantha, though...they run around and giggle all morning long and then crash for naptime!
Hannah started swim lessons this morning.  She cried for the first five minutes or so, but then she liked playing with all the toys.  She maintained her death drip with her legs around my waist the entire time; hopefully, she'll feel more comfy next week!

Playing with pool toys

Sooooo sleepy on the way home!

Being Silly

Here's what happens to junk mail in the Vought house:
Dada being silly:

Gaboo and Grandpa's Visit!

My mom and Alex had the extreme pleasure of visiting us two weekends in a row! ; )  Hannah was in her glory, showing off left and right. We didn't do anything special, just played and spent time together. My mom had a blast with Hannah's run-around-the-downstairs-like-crazy game. We went to the park the first weekend, which resulted in a funny video of Hannah feeding the ducks.  Enjoy!
Grandpa had more fun with the blocks than Hannah!

This is how Hannah was gaining speed while chasing grandma!

They both reverted back to 8 months old : )

So cute in grandma's hat!

Grandma has more energy than I do!! Check out a couple of chasing videos:

Hannah loved feeding the ducks...sort of...

Hmmm...I wonder if this is how my mom's floors used to get clean... ; )
