Two Months!

Hannah is two months old today! The time has gone so fast. We love how much more active and alert she is now - very fun! Tomorrow, she is going to school with me to visit my students, and then we are getting together with some of Jay's school friends. It will be a busy day! Then, Hannah will get some much-needed grandparent time. Hooray!

Rolling Over?!?

The most exciting event of the week took place today. It was probably just a fluke, but Hannah rolled from her stomach to her back two times in a row! She wasn't rolling toward anything, which is why it's a fluke, but she was physically able to do it. Cool! We also moved Hannah to her room this week. She is adjusting to it fairly well! Besides that, we had a low-key week, which was actually a welcome change. Fun fact: we filled out an NCAA bracket for Hannah and it is in first place amongst all of our brackets! That is more of a victory for Jay, of course, but I am still a proud mom. : ) Here are a few pics from the week...the rocking chair was given to us by my dad and refinished by my mom. I was rocked in it when I was little!

First Smile...Week Six

Hannah has reached her first milestone...she is now smiling purposefully! Jay was the first one to make her smile by touching her nose and making a "boop" noise. Check out the video! As far as other events of the week, we had a baby club adventure at our house, and had two new moms and babies involved. I also took Hannah to my six week doctor appointment and had her picture taken with the doctor who delivered her. The best part of the week was all the time we were able to spend outside! I hope the good weather continues!

Busy 5th Week!

Hannah's fifth week was very fun and busy! She was a lot more active, just taking a few small naps during the day. We started it by hanging out with Elisabeth, Joe, and Amelia again, which was even more fun than the first time. On Tuesday, we had another play date with the February babies. They were in much better moods this time! Thursday, we went to Jay's school and met a lot of the math teachers and then took Hannah to her first restaurant (BW3's). Friday, we went to Athens and met the teachers and staff members (and a few students who stopped by even though it was an "adults only" visit). Whew! Here are a few pics from the week.

Staci vs. Hannah

My mom sent me an outfit for Hannah that I wore when I was a baby and a picture to go along with it. Can you tell which baby is which? I kept trying to prop Hannah up on the couch, but she was constantly falling over. It was cracking me up, so I included a video clip of it! Enjoy!

New Friends

I was fortunate enough to have three other teachers in my school who were pregnant and due in February! We really bonded through our shared experience and our babies are within two weeks of each other in age (Hannah is the oldest). We got together for the first time today and had a great time! The other babies are Mackenzie Blake and Isabella Ashley. Luke Jamoua is the only boy of our group, and he was just born...he'll hopefully come to future play dates and break up the girl-fest! Check out the pics and video of the babies!

One Month Old!

Hannah is one month old today!! We had our first mommy/daughter outing. We went to the library and picked out a bag of books to read. Then, we stopped by McDonald's for a Shamrock shake. After that, we went to Meijer and picked up a perscription, a new book by Jodi Picoult, and a few other items. It was an exciting day! Hannah also started wearing 0-3 month clothes today, so she has a whole new wardrobe! It's a little sad that she is no longer a newborn, but it's exciting that she is growing and thriving! Pictures to follow...
