First Sledding Adventure!

It finally warmed up a little bit yesterday, so we took Hannah sledding in our front yard for the first time. After a brief "I don't want to wear all this stuff" meltdown, she seemed to enjoy herself! She looked pretty darn cute in her winter gear...

On the First Day of Christmas...

There is significance to the title of this blog post...we REALLY know how to extend celebrations in our family! : )

We opened presents at home on the 23rd since we were leaving the next morning to visit family. We only got Hannah a few presents since we knew she'd be getting some from other family members. Here she is with her Alphabet Train - she loved it! There is a cameo from Zoey, too...

Now, onto the next big adventure...Grandpa & Grandma V's house!

On the Second Day of Christmas...

On Christmas Eve and Christmas morning, we celebrated with Jay's parents, Amy, Andy, Nora, and Buster. We had a great time, and Nora and Hannah seemed to play together even more than they have before.

The girls enjoyed opening their presents, and even got matching Elmo's!

some cute outfits, her first "Little People" toy, some books, and more...she was pretty darn spoiled. : )

Okay, phase two of Christmas complete...on to Grandpa and Grandma VZ!

On the Third Day of Christmas...

Lots of family = lots of celebrating! We got to my mom & Alex's house in the afternoon on Christmas day. We were sad that Bret, Kari, and Hayden couldn't join us, but they were in the midst of the same flu bug that Jay had earlier in the week. Luckily, Cris and Frank Werner, who are expecting a baby girl in the spring, were still able to join us.

My mom's specialty is stockings, and Hannah loved the one my mom made for her -she enjoyed opening it with daddy. The bunny in the picture was given to me by my grandma when I was little, and now it is in Hannah's room - very special!

After that, we opened presents. My mom and Alex got Hannah some books, including a puppet book that she really liked!!

My mom also made me a book of my grandma, my mom, and me throughout the years while celebrating Christmas. We'll add photos from Jay's family and Hannah, and it will be a fun part of Christmas each year to relive those memories. It was an awesome idea!

Here is Hannah enjoying some silly noises with Alex while mom finished dinner. Speaking of dinner, Hannah loved being at the table with everybody! She was pretty funny, making lots of faces and silly noises. She tried rolls, sweet potatoes, and jello. Yum!

Just when you thought we couldn't possibly celebrate any more, on to my Aunt Faith's!

Finally, the FOURTH day of Christmas...

We went to my Aunt Faith's on the 26th, and celebrated with my grandma, dad, aunt, and cousin Michael. We had a lot of fun, especially when we played Wii Just Dance 1 & 2...and yes, there is video evidence of this event! Hannah loved watching her mama dance. : )

Hannah interacted with Michael more this time. We're not sure if he enjoyed it very much, but it was pretty cute.

This ends our 2010 Christmas Extravaganza! We had an amazing time - Hannah had a very special first Christmas. : ) Thank you, everybody!

Amelia's 1st Birthday

You would think that I would have all the time in the world to blog since I've been home for almost a week, but apparently that is not the case! Hannah and I been busy getting ready for the holidays and taking care of Jay, who got the stomach flu (or food poisoning) a few days ago. Poor Jay! We hope he feels better by Christmas.

One of the many fun events we've been to in the last week was Amelia's 1st birthday party. A few highlights from the party:

1. She did not like eating cake, but she loved playing with it - see photo below!

2. Hannah was obsessed with Amelia's cousin's braces. Obsessed. Her hands were in his mouth, she was squealing at the top of her lungs and bouncing up and down...the whole nine yards.

3. Hannah and Amelia love to dance - see video below. : )

4. Amelia loved the boxes, wrapping paper, and tissue paper a LOT - see video below!

First Christmas Tree!

We had a snow day today, and so we finally got to put up our tree! Hannah loved the festivities, as you'll see...

Nora's 2nd Birthday

Nora turned two on Friday, and we went to her birthday party on Saturday. Nora had a lot of fun - she loved her presents, the balloons, and her cake. Here are a few videos/photos:

My 30th/Family Visit

Last weekend, Grandma & Grandpa Vought, Amy, Andy, and Nora all came over to celebrate my 30th birthday! Jay surprised me with a suite at the Pistons vs. Magic game; Amy & Andy were there along with eight of our friends and we had a great time! Here are a few pics of our weekend:

First Thanksgiving

We spent Hannah's first Thanksgiving with lots of people! We had dinner on Thursday with Grandma and Grandpa VZ, Aunt Kari, Uncle Bret, and her cousin Hayden. The cousins had a lot of fun together! On Friday, we got together with her Great-Grandma, Grandpa Schmock, Great-Aunt Faith, and her cousin Michael (who just turned 14 the day before Thanksgiving!). We are extremely thankful for our family and friends who have been so supportive, loving, and helpful with Hannah these past ten months. We are very thankful to have Hannah; Thanksgiving was extra special this year! Here are a few pics & videos:

More Thanks!

Here are more Thanksgiving pics/videos. Hannah dined on Apple Turkey Cranberry this year - yum! She tried some mashed potatoes, but did not seem to like them. Next year, she'll be eating everything!!

First Word, Stairs, and Babies Galore!

Hannah knows the word "Uh-oh"! She says it on her own, repeats it, etc. Everything else she says still only has one sound to it (mama, dada, etc.) so it's fun to hear her put multiple sounds together!

Here are the February babies, together again. They are interacting more now, and crawling everywhere - it was so fun! The last video is of Hannah displaying her new favorite trick...escaping the family room! She is having fun exploring her world.
