Our Week Away - Part 3

We ended the week with my mom & Alex.  We saw lots of friends and family...Cris Crawford & baby Petyon, Bret, Kari, Hayden, and Kyler (their new addition via foster care), Cindi Buckley (my Kindergarten teacher!!), and Betty! Hannah loved spending time with everyone.  We went to the zoo, ate at the Turkey Farm, and played outside a ton. It was a great way to end the week away from home. Up next: a trip up north with Jay's family!
What a beautiful picture with Grandma and Grandpa! I love it!
She would only touch the goats with one finger. Cute. She LOVED them!
STAY AWAY FROM MY GOATS, HAYDEN!!!

Pretty sweet pool set-up!
I think Hannah looks a lot like me in this one : )
Being silly with grandpa

Our Week Away - Part 2

We had lunch at my aunt's house one of the days.  Hannah loved playing outside - she especially loved the fountain in the backyard and blowing bubbles! She also loved Sadie (Faith's dog) and eating raisins with my dad. We had fun spending time with them!

Hannah made about 15 trips over to my dad to get raisins : )

Our Week Away - Part 1

Jay is teaching a brand new math class next year, so he needed to spend a week at good 'ol WMU to prepare for it.  Hannah and I debated whether to spend a week at home together (potentially boring) or a week in the Battle Creek/Kalamazoo area with family (busy, but fun!). We stayed with Amy, Nora, and Henry for two days while Andy was out of town.  I have a new appreciation for moms with two babies, and especially moms whose husbands are frequently out of town.  I'm glad we were there to help a little bit, and the girls played really well.  We took all three kids to the park and played in the kiddie pool in the backyard.
Hannah playing with the Exersaucer one last time before we took it over for baby Henry!
Such a pretty dress & smile!
The girls loved the playground - especially the slide!
Playing in Nora's fancy new pool
Sweet family : )

Beach Baby!

We recently took Hannah to the beach for the first time (Stoney Creek Metro Beach). It was lots of fun! She liked the sand, especially when daddy would shovel it into her bucket. She liked the seagulls, too, and even repeated 'seagull' when we told her the name. She loved the water, too, but she got a little too confident walking in it, lost her balance and went under the water!! She handled it pretty well, and was happy until she saw a little girl in a turtle floaty and WANTED it big time. Poor baby! All in all, we had a great time!

February Babies Reunion

All the February babies came over a few weeks ago. We played inside until all the babies got there, and then went to our subdivision park. The babies played together really well, all things considered! When the first baby came, Hannah had a hard time sharing her toys...but once all five babies showed up, she couldn't possibly save all her toys and just joined in the fun. Notice that she is a lot taller than all the other girl babies!!

Aunt Anne's Visit/4th of July

Hannah's version of fireworks...Happy 4th of July! : )My Aunt Anne came from Arizona to visit for three days right around the 4th. We had lots of fun! We went to the zoo, played at the park, went shopping, played in the pool & sprinkler, and played with my 'old' Strawberry Shortcake house! It was fun to watch her enjoy it. Check it all out!

Swimming & Spaghetti

No, she didn't swim in a pool full of spaghetti noodles...although that might've been fun! Here are a few pool pics and Hannah doing the "all done dance" one night during a messy spaghetti dinner.

Dad's Visit

My dad came and stayed with us for a few days last week. It was nice to have him around, and we got to hear lots of stories about his life. We went to Greeenfield Village one of the days; Hannah did pretty well until we took her on the carousel. She wanted no part of sitting with us - she wanted to walk on it and investigate the animals. I had a death grip on her, which resulted in a meltdown while trapped on the spinning carousel. Fun, fun...

Toe kissing!

Who knew Hannah could still do this...I am so proud. ; )

Visit With Grandma & Grandpa Vought

We had lots of fun with Jay's parents at the end of June! We went to a petting zoo (which Hannah LOVED), spent lots of time outside, and Hannah went out on the paddle boat for the first time. At the petting zoo, there were tons of animals, but Hannah loved the goats and the walk-through bird exhibit best. I'm pretty sure the ice cream we had was rated highly on her list, too! And finally, the best part was when grandma bought her a puppy she DESPERATELY wanted in the gift shop. She is obsessed with it. Here are some photo memories...
