Jay's Birthday Weekend

Hannah had a lot of fun playing with Grandma at the Dutch Village playground during Jay's birthday weekend. It's a cool playground and Hannah loved exploring it. Check it out!

Playing at Grandma & Grandpa's house

We had a lot of fun celebrating Jay's birthday, too! We had a pizza dinner and decorated a cake for him. Hannah really got into the celebration - she made it really fun!

Elmo!

We got to go see Elmo Live with Amy & Andy's family mid-November! Grandma treated all of us to the show, and the kids had a great time! We went to the Grand Rapids Christmas parade for a while first, and then we went to Van Andel Arena for the show. Our seats were in the back, and we had plenty of empty space around us for the kids to roam. The cousins were sometimes really into Elmo (dancing & jumping up and down) and sometimes more interested in their surroundings. Overall, they had a great time!!

Detroit Tigers

Jay and his dad went to the World Series! They went to game three on Saturday, October 27th. The Tigers lost, but they still had a good time together and enjoyed the experience. We also had fun getting hyped up for the game. Here's to a successful 2012 season - Go Tigers!
She's confused....there are no touchdowns in baseball!

Halloween

It's obvious that Halloween was a bigger deal this year - I am already on my third post about it! This is finally the actual Halloween event. Since the weather was supposed to be rainy and cold, some teachers at Athens decided to do trick-or-treating at our school. The kids had a ton of fun going from classroom to classroom to get candy. It was much better than braving the cold!

February babies!

Sleepy, but not too sleepy for a yummy apple!

The whole Athens crew!

Our Little Tiger

Hannah was a tiger for Halloween. She loved her costume and everything associated with Halloween SO much! We decorated around the house and hung ghosts from the tree in our front yard - she was pretty hyped after that, so we did some photo shoots. Check her out!

Visit With Mia

Elisabeth, Joe, and Amelia came over for some pre-Halloween fun a week or so before Halloween. The girls had a lot of fun together! They definitely talked to each other more than they ever have before - it was so cute to watch. We took them trick-or-treating in downtown Rochester, and it was absolutely packed! The girls seemed a little overwhelmed, but they still enjoyed it. The next day, we picked out pumpkins & carved them, played at the park, and went to a Halloween festival at the outdoor mall down the street from us.  It was such a fun visit!
Cutest owl and tiger ever!

Mmmmm.....stick full of sugar...

Taking a "walk" the next morning to burn off their candy sugar rush!

We attempted to go to a cool pumpkin patch, but ended up at Kroger...

Fun at the park!

Back in costumes for some fun at The Villages!

Storytime With Grandma Vought

Grandma & Grandpa came to visit a few weeks after school started. Hannah and Grandma enjoyed storytime together! Take note of Hannah's shirt - it did not leave her body for at least two days. Best shirt ever!

Swiper, no swiping!!
