Rattles & Wiggles

I haven't posted in a while, so I think it's time for a little update. Hannah is doing really well - she's wiggling around a lot more (as you'll see in the video) and is doing much better holding her head up and holding onto things like rattles, small stuffed animals, blankets, etc. She is talking more and showing her cute personality. She really likes it when I lay down next to her and read to her while holding the books over her head...and it's GREAT for building my arm muscles! We started the search for daycare last week and are close to making a decision - it will be nice to have that important task completed. Besides that, I guess we've just been up to our normal routine. Hannah met my two college roommates on Monday, Katy and Kristen. It was fun to see them and talk about how much our lives have changed in just a few short years! We are looking forward to visits later this week from Grandma and Grandpa VZ, Aunt Amy, Uncle Andy, and her cousin Nora.

Fashion Show

I had a bit of a "fashion show" with Hannah this week since she has some outfits that she was in danger of never wearing due to her rapid growth! Check out the pics below. The pink dress was my dress "back in the day". Other events from the week: Hannah has started a REALLY delightful 7pm scream-fest. We think she is tired from the day, but not yet ready for bed. It's so sad to see her get upset and not have an easy fix for it. Besides that, it's been an uneventful week. We went to a park behind the Rochester Hills library and had our picture taken for the library newsletter! We'll see if they use the picture...

Fun Times With Amelia!

Hannah and Amelia played together again yesterday. They are a few months away from discovering one another, but it was fun for the moms and dads to see them together! When we arrived, Elisabeth mentioned that Amelia had the same outfit Hannah was wearing, so of course we HAD to dress them alike! So cute! Check out a few photos. I love the one when they are both in their little seats. Hannah isn't quite ready for hers, but it made for a funny photo!

Grandparent Love!

Hannah spent a lot of time with her grandparents this past week. She loved it and so did they! Here are a few pics!

Two Month Visit

We went to Hannah's two month appointment today (officially two months and five days). It went really well! She only cried for a few minutes during her shots. Jay and I were more worked up about it than she was! She has been sleeping since we got home, so hopefully she'll be a sleepy vaccine baby instead of a fussy one. We can't get over how BIG she is...she's in the 97th percentile for weight off the charts for height! She weighed 13 pounds, 2 ounces and was 24.75 inches long. She clearly takes after her dad in the size department!

Family Time

Since Hannah has been in our lives, we have truly understood the meaning of family and how important it is to build strong family relationships. Hannah finally got to meet her great-grandma, grandpa Schmock, great-aunt Faith, and her cousin Michael on Easter Sunday. It was really neat to see her with them!

Getting To Know You...

Hannah met a lot of family friends in Battle Creek! She is lucky to have so many fabulous people in her life (just like I did).
